For some time now, I have been drawn to diagrams and designs for boat hulls. I have been superimposing drawings based on a variety of hull digrams onto my "Weir" paintings and drawings as well as onto my "Area Below Water" paintings. The result is a new series I am calling "Ocean Hulls" and even more recently I have started pushing them into three dimensional wall relief sculptures. Currently I am working on several that come further off the wall. The next step is to take them completely off the wall onto the floor and suspend them from the ceiling.
